I offer counseling services virtually for clients across Oregon and Washington. I also have limited in-person availability in Portland, OR. In addition, I offer speaking and writing services. I enjoy hosting workshops and events related to eating disorder recovery, mental health, religious trauma, nutrition, sports performance, and more. Group counseling offers a powerful, relational space where healing happens not just through insight, but through a lived, embodied, and communal experience as well. In my groups, I use a somatic, emotionally focused, and experiential approach, helping members tune into their bodies, emotions, and patterns of connection in the present moment. This is especially meaningful for those navigating eating disorder recovery and body image concerns, where shame and isolation often thrive. Groups provide a corrective experience of being seen, understood, and supported without judgment. Through guided experiential exercises, emotional processing, and shared reflection, members build greater body trust, emotional awareness, and self-compassion, while learning they are not alone. Group work can deepen individual therapy or stand alone as a meaningful step toward more authentic connection with yourself and others.

I provide speaking services for large and small groups. Whether you are a part of a sports team, a school, a church, or some other organized group, I enjoy teaching folk about mental health, eating disorder recovery, and nutrition. In addition, as a part of my ethical duties and my passion for advocacy and activism, I enjoy speaking about social issues and the ways in which body and identity politics influence our relationships with food and body. I speak on topics such as weight stigma, body liberation, food access, health equity, social determinants of health, and more. I provide experiential workshops where individuals can improve their emotional awareness, increase their sense of embodiment, and resolve core emotional and relational wounds. I am also open to guest podcast appearances, speaking at local conferences, and writing for articles and journals. Please use the contact form linked below for any inquiries.

FEES ANd insurance
My fees are as follows:
Initial individual intake assessment (80 to 90-minutes): $200 per session
Standard individual counseling session (50 to 60-minutes): $150 per session
Standard group counseling session (120-minutes): $50 per person per session
I am currently considered out-of-network with all insurance companies. I cannot bill insurance and you are expected to pay the full session fee at the end of each session. If desired, I can provide you with a superbill, which you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. However, I cannot guarantee reimbursement. Reimbursement is dependent upon your insurance plan and out-of-network benefits. If you would like to utilize this option, I encourage you to check with your insurance company regarding your benefits prior to initiating your counseling services. I will not contact your insurance company for you, but I am happy to answer your questions regarding the process!

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your counseling services if you are uninsured or decide to pay out-of-pocket. You may request a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of services at any time and before scheduling. If you do not request one, A Good Faith Estimate will be provided prior to the start of your counseling services. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.

COUNSELING INTAKE process

Submit the secure contact form found on my website. Answer a few brief questions about yourself and wait for a response from me. I will respond requests submitted on Monday through Thursday within 24 to 48 hours. For requests submitted on Friday through Sunday, please allow up to 72 hours for a response. I am not available on weekends.

After submitting the contact form, we will schedule a 15-minute phone consultation. During this call, we will briefly discuss your challenges, needs, and goals. We will determine if we are a good fit to work together, and I will answer any questions you might have. I will then send you the intake forms and provide you with access to my client portal.

Once all intake and consent forms are completed, we will meet for the intake assessment. During the 80 to 90-minute intake assessment, we will review my policies and procedures, the limits of confidentiality, and your intake paperwork. We also further discuss your symptoms and personal history, identify your treatment goals, and address your questions and/or concerns.

After the initial assessment and treatment plan are completed, we may then begin treatment. As stated above, a standard therapy session lasts 50- to 60-minutes. Clients generally commit to a weekly or bi-weekly standing session time (i.e., “Wednesdays at 3:00 pm”). If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify me 24-hours in advance to avoid lat cancellation fees.
